initial butter temperature is assumed to be normal, 70 degrees fahrenheit (a nice day), and the melting point of butter is 96 degrees fahrenheit. (96-70)/1.8 = 14.4 degrees celsius.
1.26kJ/(kg*Celsius)*14.4 degrees celsius*(1kg/35oz) = 0.5184 kJ/oz
0.5184kJ/oz * 4 ounces (in a stick of butter) = 2.0736 kJ
50 Megatons of TNT/2.0736 kJ (according to wolframalpha)= 1.0089*10^14 sticks of butter = 100,890,000,000,000 bars of butter, or 100 trillion bars of butter!
