Does anyone have any more information about this picture? I know the chap on the left is Vice Admiral William H.P. Blandy.

According to this page, it's Blandy and his wife celebrating the sucess of Crossroads, the other gentleman on the right is not identified. This is probably correct based on the Baker-like shape of the cake. Note that the last item on the page is neither Bravo and the date is wrong.
The links to the images are broken, you can view them here
The picture identified as Bravo is one I have not seen before and looks to me like a Greenhouse shot, maybe Yoke?

I saw this posted on the old forum. I think. I believe Grav had the info on it. It's a great photo.
As for the other shot ID, I'm not sure. Yoke was Operation Sandstone, not Greenhouse though. Which I'm sure you know. I can't tell after reviewing other Sandstone photos what it is.
Maybe, Item (GH), maybe Yoke(SS).
If we knew where the photo was taken from, the weather report at shot time should show what direction the wind was blowing from. The trees in the foreground appear to be blowing from left to right. |

I did mean Sandstone, nm.
I have emailed the site owners regarding the broken links and the mis-identification. You never know, there is a possibility they will respond, stranger things have happened. |

Sorry again for my ignorance of abbreviated phrases. What is "nm"? |
