    There was the kooky idea before airborne refueling, to drag two fighters along the wingtips of a B-36.

    Imaging being trapped for 20 hours flight in the cockpit of a fighter, filling your pilot's diaper the whole way.


    Amazing stories of the B-36:


    One of my favorites so far:

    There was an 85 ft. tunnel, between the two pressurized compartments. To go from one compartment to the other you had to lay on a cart and pull yourself along with an overhead rope. The tunnel has a slight V shape, with the low point near the center. By raising the nose slightly when someone was coming forward, you could really make him work. Naturally, if you lowered the nose, hed come screaming through! Wed only do this to certain staff members, or others that had been uncooperative or obnoxious.
