The BLU-96 thermobaric weapon, nicknamed HADES, is the most powerful non-nuclear weapon in existence. A primary charge disperses an aerosol of aluminium powder and ammonium perchlorate. Then a secondary charge ignites this cloud of fuel creating a truly massive blast.
