 MRM 
Description: 
The MRM-KE, AKA X-Rod, is a 120mm line-of-site guided munition used by the M256 gun on the M1 Abrams. Fired as a conventional round, the round acquires GPS position followed by mid-course updates and at the peak of its trajectory, ignite the rocket motor accelerating to achieve maximum lethality using a kinetic energy penetrator warhead. It is designed for effective range of up to 7.5 km. Footage captured using this camera system. Thanks to Dave C for his help ID'ing this clip :-)

The US Navy demonstrating its new futuristic railgun at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren. These weapons use electromagnetic energy to launch projectiles rather than explosives. According to the Navy, the railgun, when fully developed, will be able to launch solid projectiles at Mach 5, or about 3,700 mph.

Trafalgar class submarine
Description: 
The Trafalgar class submarines were, until the introduction of the Astute class, the Royal Navy's most advanced nuclear fleet submarines (SSNs). The Trafalgar is a refinement of the Swiftsure class and designed six years later than its predecessor. The design included a new reactor core, type 2020 sonar and pump-jet propulsion - a high-pitch, low-revolution propeller which is much quieter but much heavier than conventional propeller designs.
