 Saturn V Launch 
Description: 
The Saturn V was a multi-stage expendable rocket used by NASA's Apollo and Skylab programs from 1967 until 1973 under the direction of Wernher von Braun. NASA launched 13 Saturn V rockets with no loss of payload. It remains the largest and most powerful launch vehicle ever. The Saturn V's huge size and payload capacity dwarfed all other previous rockets, 110 m high, 10 m in diameter (without fins) with a total mass of over 3000 short tons. It consisted of 3 stages, all of which used liquid oxygen (LOX) as an oxidizer. The first stage used RP-1 for fuel, while the second and third stages used liquid hydrogen (LH2). The upper stages also used small solid-fuelled ullage motors that helped to separate the stages during the launch. Music: Vangelis ft. Stina Nordenstam - 'Ask the Mountains'.

Iraq Thunderstorm

Incredible video of a crew flying through a thunderstorm over Iraq. Unable to avoid the the storm without entering Iranian airspace, they had no choice but to go through it. St. Elmos fire lights up the fuselage, and lightning crawls around the windscreen in an amazing and terrifying electrical display.

Aborted landing - Angola
Description: 
Recorded 26th September 2008 at Cabinda, Angola. A Soviet lyushin Il-18 turboprop pilot misjudges his takeoff and aborts, setting his starboard landing gear on fire. The airport maintenance crew seemed completely baffled and mill around shouting at each other.
