The Douglas DC-3 is an American fixed-wing, propeller-driven aircraft whose speed and range revolutionised air transport in the 1930's and 40's. It is still regarded as one of the most significant transport aircraft ever made. During WW2 DC-3s were drafted for the war effort under the designations C-47. C-53, R4D and Dakota. The de Havilland Mosquito

The de Havilland Mosquito was a British WW2 combat aircraft known affectionately as the "Mossie". Powered by a pair of Rolls-Royce Merlins with the pilot and navigator sitting side by side, it used a plywood and balsa structure in a time when wooden construction was considered outmoded. Both feared and admired it was one of the true greats of British aviation.

Concorde
Description:

The Aérospatiale-BAC Concorde was a turbojet-powered supersonic passenger airliner (SST). A product of an Anglo-French government treaty, combining the manufacturing efforts of Aérospatiale and the BAC. First flown in 1969, Concorde entered service in 1976 and continued for 27 years. As a result of the type's only crash (on 25 July 2000), operations ceased on 24 October 2003.
